I've been through 3 reinstalls since I thought I screwed something up, and I'm about to just throw the adapter under/at a moving vehicle.
How does that work? Why wouldn't the PC see it the same way, running the same OS with all updates? The PC initially sees it as a new usb device, tells me everything is OK, then shows a yellow exclamation in device manager. It immediately recognizes it, by its full product name. Just to check if the device was still OK, I plug into my ThinkPad without installing the software. I point to the driver, and it says it can't find an appropriate driver. It never says that a Linksys wireless USB device is attached. When it says to plug the adapter in, I do so, then it says USB device malfunctioned, and doesn't have a driver. Linksys wireless usb network adapter works on T23, not on PC Performance, hardware, software, general buying and gaming discussion. I then found out that it was not compatible if this has already been discussed. I downloaded the appropriate driver from Linksys, and ran the setup. My question is the compatibility of an old Linksys WUSB54G Network Adapter (VERSION 2.0) with Windows 7 64-Bit. Access Points upgraded to LCM2 firmware will have access to LCM2 for the lifetime of the product. Once Access Points are upgraded, this 5-year cloud license for LCM1 is replaced with the new license terms for LCM2.

Trying to install a Linksys wireless-G USB network adapter (WUSB54GV4) on a computer that previously used the same adapter. Linksys will continue to operate the LCM1 platform for the duration of the 5 year term offered, then end of life the service. I'm trying to avoid a story here, but yea.
